Russian Society for Immunology (RSI) was founded in 1989. At present, RSI is the largest scientific and social organization in Russia comprising over 2.5 thousand scientists and physicians. The RSI extends its activities over the whole Russian territory from the Baltic Sea (Kaliningrad) to the Pacific Ocean (Vladivostok). In 1995 RSI was admitted to the International Union of Immunological Societies as a full member.
