The South African Association for Laboratory Animal Science (SAALAS) Conference 2022

The SAALAS 2022 Conference will provide a platform for sharing and discussing key advances in laboratory animal housing and care, laboratory animal 4Rs, management of animal facilities during disaster situations and education and training for personnel. In addition to presentations, and discussions, the conference will offer the following

The SAALAS 2022 Conference goal is to bring together, a multi-disciplinary group of laboratory animal personnel to present and exchange ideas relating to the use of laboratory animals for scientific purposes to promote top-level research. The conference will also focus on the recent COVID-19 lockdown movement restrictions and how animal facilities were managed during that period.

The Conference will be attended by: Laboratory animal technologists, Animal ethics committee members, Designated veterinarians, Animal welfare officers, Animal caretakers, Scientists, Veterinary nurses, Facility managers
